Harbor Heist

Cast Odds

The chance of every catch, before you cast

Every cast in Harbor Heist spends bait and brings up one catch, picked at random. These are the chances of each catch on a single cast. Bait you buy with real money casts exactly like bait you earn in the game: buying bait never changes the odds.

The same chances apply at every harbor.

How a cast is picked

  • Each cast is drawn on its own. Earlier casts never change the next one, and there is no streak or counter that guarantees a catch.
  • Bait size: from harbor 3, the BAIT plate lets you raise the bait size to x2, x3, x5, x10, x15, x25 or x50, as far as your bait covers it. A cast at xN costs N bait and multiplies what that cast pays by N. Bait size never changes the chances in the table.
  • The tutorial: the first casts of a new game are set up to teach it. Your first cast brings up a map bottle, your first raid is guided and your first heist always hits.

Heists

A cannon crab sends Nicks to a rival captain’s harbor, where you pick one building to hit. Against a captain run by the game, there is a 30% chance that a life ring blocks the heist. Against another player, the heist is blocked when that player holds a life ring, and the ring is used up. A blocked heist pays little or nothing. The coins from a hit vary from heist to heist, between 0.8 and 1.3 times the usual amount, and grow with your bait size and your harbor.

Raids

A map bottle takes you to a rival captain’s lake for one cast and one fight. Which fish bites is random, among the fish of that lake. Landing it is up to you: cast into the sweet spot, then hold the reel and mind the tension. A fish you land takes a share of the rival’s stash, shown at the top of the screen.

Coming later

When card boxes or other random rewards arrive in Harbor Heist, their odds will be listed here and in the game before you open or buy one.
