You can delete your Harbor Heist account and the data linked to it at any time, right in the game. If you can’t open the game, email us and we will delete it for you. Harbor Heist is published by 10X Ventures LLC.
Delete your account in the game
- Open Harbor Heist and tap the gear button in the top right corner to open Settings.
- Tap the red DANGER ZONE button at the bottom of Settings, then DELETE ACCOUNT.
- Read the list of what will be deleted, then tap the red DELETE MY ACCOUNT button. If you signed in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm with your Apple Account first; closing Apple’s sheet cancels and keeps everything.
- The game deletes your account on our servers, clears your harbor from the device and shows ACCOUNT DELETED. Tap START AGAIN if you want a brand-new game.
Deleting needs an internet connection. If a purchase is still on its way to your harbor, the game asks you to wait until it lands. Deletion is permanent: a deleted harbor cannot be recovered, and purchases are not refunded.
Or ask us by email
- Email support@harborheist.com from any address, with the subject “Delete my Harbor Heist account”.
- Include your captain name (at the top of the game’s Settings) and your device model, or tell us if you signed in with Apple, so we can find your game account.
- We delete your account and its data within 30 days and confirm by email.
What we delete
- Your game account on our game servers (Microsoft Azure PlayFab): captain name, harbors, coins, bait, catches, trophies and settings, and every sign-in link to the account.
- Sign in with Apple: if you signed in with Apple, we ask Apple to revoke Harbor Heist’s access.
- Notifications: the server stops sending you notifications, and your push notification tokens (from Apple or from Firebase Cloud Messaging) are deleted.
- Your place among other captains (as these features arrive): your friend code, your claim on your captain name, your place on your friends’ crew lists, your team and your seat in this week’s tournament.
- Reports and blocks: reports about you, your player ID in reports you filed, and the blocks you set or that name you.
- Facebook data (if Facebook Login is offered and you connected it): your Facebook link, first name, email, friend list and the copy of your profile photo.
- On your device: the saved game, the game’s local event log, cached pictures and the game’s settings, and the game signs the device out of the deleted account at RevenueCat. The game gets a new random player ID, so a new game starts fresh.
- Analytics data linked to your player ID is deleted or de-identified within 30 days.
How long it takes
- In the game: usually a few seconds, and the game says “Your account has been deleted.” When a step needs more time, it says your account “is being deleted and will be gone within a day,” and our daily cleanup finishes the job. From the moment the deletion starts it cannot be undone.
- By email: within 30 days, with an email when it is done.
What we keep, and for how long
- A record that a deletion happened: the date, how it was requested and a scrambled reference that cannot be turned back into your player ID, so we can show we honored the request.
- Purchase records: purchases processed by Apple or Google Play and checked through RevenueCat are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Apple and Google keep their own receipts under their own policies.
- Crash reports: reports already sent to Sentry carry the random install ID and no name or account details. They expire on their own within 24 months.
- Aggregated statistics that carry no identifier and can no longer be linked to you.
- Routine server logs, which expire on their own within the retention periods in our Privacy Policy (up to 24 months for diagnostic data).
- Anything a court or the law requires us to keep.
Facebook data and Meta’s data deletion rules
This page is Harbor Heist’s data deletion instructions under Meta’s Platform Terms.
- Harbor Heist does not offer Facebook Login today. If we add it and you connect Facebook, deleting your account in the game deletes your Facebook data with it.
- You will also be able to remove Harbor Heist in your Facebook settings (Settings & privacy, Settings, Apps and websites) and email support@harborheist.com to have your Facebook data deleted from our servers within 30 days.
- When you allow tracking, Meta may receive app events from Harbor Heist to measure our advertising (planned). Meta holds that data under its own privacy policy, and you can manage it in your Facebook settings under your activity off Meta technologies.
